If you’re ready to dive deep into the bitters of #GodsMedicineCabinet, then The Bitter Not Sweet Smoothie Recipe is just for You, My Friend! It’s packed with anti-inflammatory & antioxidant goodness, as well as, it offers hydration, fiber and a small amount of protein.
Our #StarIngredient offers up some help to our cholesterol levels, along with being anti-inflammatory and Omega-3 friendly to us. It also contains a special acid that turns into an antioxidant. WHAT??
For this smoothie, I used several vegetables and a very few and small amounts of fruit, which is how I chose to name this one. 😉
Here’s your ingredients…
1/4 small red or green Apple
1/4 cup frozen Blueberries
1 Blood Orange
1/4 cup Pomegranate Seeds
1 Celery stalk
1/2 peeled Cucumber
Handful Spinach, Arugula, Dandelion Greens, & Romaine Lettuce
1/2-1 inch piece of peeled Turmeric Root
1/2 inch piece Ginger Root
Small handful Walnut Pieces (#StarIngredient)
Filtered Water (more or less for your preference)
Blend all your ingredients together, I use my Vitamix blender, & taste The Bitter Not Sweet goodness! Enjoy!!
As you sip on the bitterness, remind yourself of the nutritional goodness and smile knowing that you’re drinking your medicine. This helped me when I first started drinking more bitter smoothies. 😉 Everyone does seem to say ‘medicine is bitter, right?’
