Pumpkin Pie Smoothie? Yes, Please!!

This smoothie speaks to my love of pumpkin pie and the spices that make pumpkin pies so delicious! Minus the sugar and the crust. 

Pumpkin is full of goodness from #GodsMedicineCabinet. It helps boost eye health because of the carotenes and a couple of compounds; lutein and zeaxanthin. Beta-carotene turns into Vitamin A, which boosts our immune systems and also protects the skin & eyes. The compounds, lutein and zeaxanthin have been found to lower the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration. 

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie – Yes, Please ingredients…

  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree (I opened a can of organic pumpkin)
  • 1 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 3 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1 frozen Banana
  • 3 large handfuls Spinach

Add all of your ingredients into your blender. I use my Vitamix. Blend until creamy smoothie, pour into two 8 ounce glasses, dust with a dash of Ceylon Cinnamon and dream of Fall as you sip!
