Hey there, My Smoothie Friend!

I sure do Love the color of this one; Kermit-Green Smoothie! I mean, don’t we all Love Kermit The Frog and green food? 😉

The greens offer us all kinds of healing benefits; hydration, fiber, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory & anti-bacterial goodness, as well as, they help detoxify the body. 

This recipe is super-easy to throw together. Here’s what you’ll need to make this Kermit-Green Smoothie for yourself and the people you love.

1 Banana (I prefer bananas that are more green in color. This means the taste is less sweet.)

1 Orange

1 small Granny Smith Apple

1 Kiwi

1/4 cup Frozen Pineapple 

2 large Handfuls Baby Spinach

1 small Handful Fresh Basil

2 tsp Turmeric Powder

2 tsp Ginger Powder

Several grinds of Cracked Black Pepper (4-5)

Filtered Water

I add all ingredients to my Vitamix Blender and blend on high for around 2 minutes or so. Pour into glasses and enjoy the sip. This amount made enough for K, E & I all to have around 8 ounces each. 

Couple things… If you want to use Ginger & Turmeric Root, wash, peel and chop before adding to your blender. If you are a newbie, dip a shallow toe in. Ginger is really HOT and Turmeric is bitter. A little goes a long way! Also, the amount of water varies depending on how thick you want the consistency to be.
