Hey there, My Friends!

I adore this recipe that I was lucky to discover in Giada De Laurentiis’ fabulous cookbook, ‘EAT better, FEEL better’. The #StarIngredient is basil in this Green Basil Smoothie recipe.

The ingredients you’ll need..

2 large handfuls Baby Spinach

1/2 peeled Cucumber (I used one from our garden!)

1/2 Avocado

1 small Apple

Small handful Raw Almonds

Handful fresh Basil Leaves (I used leaves from our garden!)

1/2 Lemon juiced

Several Ice Cubes

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

1 tsp Ginger Powder

Cracked Black Pepper

Pinch Sea Salt

1/2 – 1 cup Filtered Water

Add all ingredients to your blender (I use my Vitamix), Mix and Enjoy all the health benefits that this Green Basil Smoothie recipe offers.
